About The Role
This position would help us to effectively manage various accounting processes, payroll practices reporting etc. Our ideal candidate would work collaboratively with other departments, championing an efficient, error-free AP process and practices. Responsibilities
• Management of Accounts Payable (A/P) and maintenance of A/P aging
• Post bills, transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g., by assets, liabilities, and expenses).
• Assist in payroll processing and maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders.
• Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, historical financial reports, operational data, and current processes to ensure effective internal controls.
• Create Variance Analyses and monitor changes
• Conduct mid-level general-ledger account reconciliations, verify data accuracy etc
• Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes, including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and accruals. Manage overall maintenance of operational management accounts.
• Assist in providing schedules (Prepaid/Accrued/Payroll) and commentary for operational management account results and variances.
• Maintain, and update records and reports for profit & loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets.
• Generate various financial reports.
• Well-versed with software such as NetSuite, Tipalti, Expensify, etc.
• Continuous knowledge development of US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards
• Ensure 100% statutory and FCPA compliance.
• Ad hoc requests and activities, when required.
• Assist global accountants in specific P&L areas.
• Assist with annual statutory audits, and ensure the team meets quarterly/annual regulatory deadlines. Ensure local entity items are understood and correctly reflected in the books.
• Savvy with market trends and open to improvising and innovating the current process
• Maintain good rapport and communication with support functions to ensure a great AP process experience
Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance
• A degree with any of the IFAC body members (i.e., ICAI/ACCA) will be an added advantage.
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience in related fields in a multinational company (Preferably accounting and/or SaaS/Software industry)
• Excellent working knowledge of "Indian Accounting Standards"
• Proficient in TAX/GST
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Maintain exceptional quality in all deliverables.
• Ability to effectively communicate and liaise with stakeholders of multiple geographies and time zones
• Shift Requirements: Hybrid Shift from 3 PM to 11 PM subject to change based on business need.
