Job Description:
Novel Jewels Limited is a newly launched business within the Group which aims to create an aspirational national jewellery brand with a strong regional flavour.
India's gems and jewellery market contributes approximately 7% to the GDP and is expected to reach US$ 70 Billion by 2026. The jewellery industry in India is largely driven by individual family-owned businesses with very few national brands. Novel Jewels Limited, will invest about Rs.4000-5000 crore to build a country-wide network of large format exclusive stores.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading Audit Activities: Planning, coordinating, and executing audit engagements to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This includes assessing risks, designing audit procedures, and supervising audit teams.
Team Management: Directing and guiding audit team members, providing support, training, and mentoring to ensure efficient and effective audit execution. Assigning tasks, reviewing work papers, and conducting performance evaluations may also be part of the role.
Risk Assessment: Identifying potential risks and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems. Recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and safeguard organizational assets.
Report Generation: Preparing clear, concise, and accurate audit reports that highlight findings, recommendations, and management action plans. Communicating audit results to key stakeholders, including senior management and the Audit Committee.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitoring compliance with audit recommendations and ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions. Following up on audit issues and providing guidance on best practices and internal control enhancements.
Stakeholder Communication: Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to understand business objectives, identify emerging risks, and provide advisory services. Collaborating with management to develop strategies for addressing control deficiencies and improving operational performance.
Continuous Improvement: Staying abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to enhance audit methodologies and practices. Participating in professional development activities and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the audit function.
Ethics and Integrity: Upholding professional ethics, independence, and objectivity in conducting audits. Ensuring compliance with auditing standards, code of conduct, and applicable laws and regulations.
Person Profile:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field along with relevant professional certificates like CPA or CIA.
Experience of 3 - 7 Years.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to address complex payment-related issues.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices for payment reconciliation.

3-8 Years
