We are hiring for a Top FMCG Global MNC Company based Mumbai.
It's a National level role, based in Head office.
We are looking for a Lead Corporate Accounts.
Education : CA with 10 Years+ work experience. It is a team handling role.
Position reports into India Finance Head.
Corporate Controller (Accounting) for a leading consumer-facing organisation based in Mumbai.
Qualified CA (Preferably Rank Holder / First Attempt) with over 10+ years of work experience.
Strong experience in: Corporate Accounting, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Account Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), IFRS, and facing auditors.
Strong hold in areas like: Financial Systems, Process Implementation, Internal Controls, Corporate Governance, SAP HANA / SAP FICO
To lead and manage the Corporate Accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, adherence to applicable accounting standards (IFRS/Ind AS), statutory compliance, and strong governance in accounting operations across the organization.
Finance Controller
- Full ownership of accounting, compliance, reporting, and audits.
- Fits due to leadership of accounting team, SOI preparation, and IFRS knowledge.
Accounts Payable, Receivable & Fixed Assets
- Supervise end-to-end AP and AR processes to ensure timely vendor payments and collections.
- Oversee fixed asset capitalization, depreciation accounting, and physical verification.
- Focus on core accounting (GL, AR, AP, FA, Payroll), monthly close, reconciliations.
- Relevant due to current team leadership and process improvement.
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Oversee preparation and finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements as per IFRS/Ind AS and local GAAP.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings with accuracy and within timelines.
- Ensure robust chart of accounts, general ledger integrity, and accurate journal entries
Finance Business Partner
- Involves budgeting, variance analysis, performance tracking, and decision support.
- Strong fit given budgeting, MIS, SOI, and cost center experience.
Audit & Compliance (Internal Controls & Governance)
- Cross-functional audit coordination, SOX/internal control process improvement.
- Suitable due to audit handling and compliance oversight.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and internal accounting policies.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors during audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Monitor internal controls in line with SOX/ICFR frameworks.
Financial Systems & Process Transformation
- Finance lead in ERP upgrades, digital finance initiatives, shared service transitions.
- Good match with exposure to process improvement and transformation projects.
- Drive automation, ERP enhancements, and process efficiency in accounting functions.
- Lead transformation projects in finance operations and system integrations (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
MIS & Stakeholder Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Present financials to leadership with analysis on variances and key insights.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing corporate accounting team.
- Ensure role clarity, performance KPIs, and regular upskilling of team members.
Key Requirements:
Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA); CPA/ACCA (preferred for global roles)
Experience: 12 to 18 years of experience in corporate accounting, with at least 3 to 5 years in a leadership role
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IFRS / Ind AS, Companies Act, GST, TDS, and other regulatory frameworks
Tools: ERP exposure (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics), Advanced Excel, MIS reporting tools
Skills: Leadership, analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication with senior stakeholders.
Preferred Industry Background:
FMCG, Manufacturing, Energy, Automotive, Pharma, or Shared Services/GCC
