Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department
On Line Real time - month and end-year process; accounts payable/receivable; cash receipts; general ledger; payroll and utilities; treasury, budgeting; cash forecasting; revenue and expenditure variance analysis; capital assets reconciliations; trust account statement reconciliations; check runs; fixed asset activity; debt activity
Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and provide financial reports or statements
To provide a leadership role in all aspects of the company’s financial operations and to manage Treasury functions.
Provide accurate and timely financial information and reports to facilitate the decision making process.
Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
Coordinate and complete annual audits
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Meet financial accounting objectives
Responsible for the annual budget process, provide monthly reviews, and implementing Business plans and other programs.
Provide analysis of cash flow, operating costs and variances
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
Ensure adequate insurance coverage is in place, thereby minimizing risks
Review standard costs, including appropriate overhead allocations, productwise & volumewise.
Periodic review of product margins and advise management as necessary
Liaise with legal representation on corporate issues. Review of legal contracts as requested
Handling of affairs related to PF, ESIC, GST, IT requirements and keeping the company uptodate on assessments.
To be a major team member for software study & analysis with a view to optimise the effectiveness and suitability of our software
