What You'll Do:
• Lead and shape the technical roadmap for our Ad Marketplace and Pacing teams, enhancing system sophistication and optimizing ad spend and delivery for more efficient auctions.
• Design, develop, and scale machine learning models to effectively manage and optimize the ad marketplace.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on strategies that meet overall company goals.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning technology to address complex challenges innovatively.
• Work with teams to understand product requirements and evaluate solutions to build groundbreaking products or services.
• Promote best practices for availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management in our systems.
• Provide technical leadership that inspires and influences the machine learning community.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• In-depth understanding of machine learning and deep learning algorithms with applications in advertising, recommendations, or search domains.
• Proven experience leading initiatives in recommendation, personalization, or generative AI.
• Skillful in designing, training, deploying, and optimizing advanced machine learning models for performance and reliability.
• Strong software engineering skills focused on clean design and production-readiness.
• Adept at learning new technologies and effectively applying them in complex problem spaces.
• Proficient in solving ambiguous problems and executing intricate technical projects.
• Strong collaboration and mentorship skills, with excellent communication abilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 9+ years of post-Bachelor's machine learning experience; or a Master's degree in a technical field with 8+ years of experience; or a PhD in a related field with 5+ years of experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, acting as an expert within a technical organization.
• Experience with developing and shipping high-performing, scalable machine learning models for recommendations or ranking applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in a relevant field such as machine learning, computer vision, or mathematics.
• Experience in online advertising, particularly with ad ranking, auctions, or marketplace optimization.
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Demonstrated success in dynamic, collaborative environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Record of contributing to AI research or publications.

The compensation range for this role is as follows: Zone A: $276,000-$414,000, Zone B: $262,000-$393,000, Zone C: $235,000-$352,000 annually, including eligibility for equity compensation.
