Join City of Moreton Bay as a Lead Transport Planner - Integrated Transport Planning, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As our Lead Transport Planner - Integrated Transport Planning you will be providing specialist and expertise advice, this position will take a lead role within the Integrated Transport Planning team, specifically regarding the establishment and achievement of multi-modal and network principles and outcomes in consideration of regional, strategic and land use planning and development growth within the City of Moreton Bay.

You will have the opportunity to:

lead and advise on multimodal transport investigations (and when required those specifically related to public transport) with consideration of Council’s preferred outcomes regarding strategic transport and network, land use and strategic planning and private development, including but not limited to growth, investigation or priority development areas and the application of Council’s Planning Scheme
high attention to details when leading reviews, drafting and development of planning briefs, scopes, specifications and general planning documentation and manage consultants/projects
respond to Councillor and Customer requests relating to your role and employ a range of verbal, visual and written communication techniques including where necessary community consultation and other external stakeholders.
You will also be the primary and lead contact for all property matters referred to ITPD that are not project related, such as general road reserve or boundary and private property adjustments that would impact the existing or planned transport network.

About you

We are seeking a conduit, a connector, an influencer, with a backing of knowledge and expertise in planning, strategy and policy development in integrated transport planning and transport infrastructure delivery.

You will be in the details; with the ability to develop and review projects, planning scopes, briefs and specifications and drafting operational, strategic and policy level documentation.

You will have knowledge of relevant state planning policy, process and guidelines, such as those related to Growth Areas, Priority Development Areas, the SEQ Regional Plan and Regional Transport Plan, and infrastructure planning including agreements, assessment and policy.

You will hold a Degree in a relevant field such as Urban and Regional Planning, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or Traffic and Transport.
