Job Description

Flexera is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to redesign, develop and maintain online training courses for its entire Software Portfolio. By developing engaging and sophisticated training materials, you will enable our customers, partners and employees to accelerate the adoption of our solutions, expand, retain, and therefore play a critical role in our success.

As a Learning Experience Designer, you will join our talented Solutions Enablement team, coordinate with our product management, pre-sales engineering, consulting, marketing, and documentation teams to create and develop engaging learning experiences. You will be responsible for developing training standards and strategies going forward.

Responsibilities:

Plan, build, and support development of Flexera’s Learning Center on the Skilljar platform.

Recreate out-of-date training courses to reflect the current version of Flexera’s software offerings and to implement the latest training templates and branding standards.

Write and produce interactive and engaging online learning courses. Each class consists of reference material, video lessons presenting that content, and quizzes to reinforce lessons learned.

Consult with solutions enablement, product management, engineering, marketing, pre-sales engineering, consulting, and documentation team members to gather material for training classes.

Perform hands-on tasks using Flexera’s software applications to learn how our customers use them so that you can write accurate and thorough training classes. Consult with the various teams to clearly understand the customer’s needs and points of view.

Attend product demos of new features to prepare for updating existing training classes and creating new classes.

Implement a change management process to keep training material up to date as Flexera’s products evolve.

Spearhead the development and future implementation of a comprehensive Flexera software product certification program.

Generate internal training analytics reports that provide key engagement and usage data such as student numbers, session times, and completion rates.

Required Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in instructional design or commensurate experience.
• 3-5 years of experience working in an instructional design role or learning and development for a SaaS technology company.
• Experience using instructional design authoring tools—such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Creative products (Photoshop, Illustrator), and PowerPoint—to design and build online learning modules.
• Experience using video production tools to produce educational videos.
• Experience building web content on Learning Management System (LMS) websites, ideally Skilljar.
• Experience in writing content for the software/technology industries.
• Excellent verbal, writing, and communication skills.
