Learning Specialist Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Specialist to support the Principal in establishing a strong and positive culture at Lyndhurst Primary School. This is an out-of-classroom role, 100% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice
Model exemplary classroom practice
Lead the implementation of school improvement strategies
Provide professional learning and feedback to teaching staff
Mentor and coach teachers
Selection Criteria
Expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching practice (SC1)
Expertise in implementing high-impact teaching strategies (SC2)
Ability to model the monitoring and assessment of student learning (SC3)
Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills (SC4)
Ability to model behaviours consistent with Department values (SC5)
Requirements
Teachers currently registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the relevant curriculum area
Provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching and meet LANTITE requirements
