ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Opening and maintaining files, conducting searches as needed
Document collection and management
Transcribe correspondences, memos and forms
Overseeing bring-forward (BF) systems and follow-ups.
Providing over-flow support and vacation/leave coverage for legal support staff.
REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of a post-secondary LAA program or equivalent experience
1 - 2 years of administrative experience
Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment to meet deadlines;
Strong computer and technical skill including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Aptitude for problem-solving and excellent attention to detail;
Highly developed interpersonal skills, including a keen ability to communicate in a courteous, professional and mature manner;
Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters;
Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and manage time effectively; and
Experience and ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Competitive compensation: The salary range for this role is $38,400 – $48,000 per annum. Within this range, individual pay is determined by market rates, job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees

HOURS OF WORK
This position is Monday to Friday starting at 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. This is a 7-hour paid day, 35-hour work week. This is an in-office position.
