We Are Seeking: Paralegal/Legal Assistant
About the Role: Chapman Law, P.C., Fresno County's premier lifestyle law firm, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in providing top-notch support to our attorneys and ensuring the smooth management of legal matters. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• A paralegal certificate* or meet the criteria outlined in Business & Professions Code sec. 6450
• 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation before State, Federal, Appellate Courts, and preferably administrative agencies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple attorney calendars and active case files efficiently
• Proficiency in Word, WordPerfect, Essential Forms, and Outlook software
• Experience in preparing and proofreading legal documents and correspondence
• Familiarity with discovery
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team
• Experience researching local rules and handling court filings in various counties
• Paralegal certificate is preferred but not required.
