Job Description
While each matter would have a responsible lawyer who would oversee your work and be available to provide input, advice and guidance, you would be expected to handle the majority of the work independently with minimal input from the lawyer. We require that you have strong writing and verbal communication, and it is preferred that you have good skills and knowledge in legal accounting and billing practices.
Core Competencies:
Two years Legal Secretary Experience in a law firm with the focus being in Real Estate, Wills and Estates.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Possess a strong analytical and logistical skill set
Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines
Must be customer-service driven
Be able to work independently and work effectively as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to effectively and tactfully communicate with individuals within the firm and clients or other parties external to the firm
Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
Strong computer skills
