Job Title: Billing Specialist
Requirements: E-billing websites, legal billing background
Location: Agoura Hills, CA (remote option)
Salary $50-75k
We are an established California law firm specializing in workers' compensation defense. We are seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to assist our Billing Manager with collections, appeals, and billing reviews. The ideal candidate with have a strong background with e-billing websites and excellent communication skills. Come join one of the most well-known law firms in California!
What You Will Be Doing
The Billing Specialist duties include assisting the Billing Manager with activities pertaining to legal billing, receivables management, and collections.
• Pre-Bill reviews: Before sending bills to clients, invoices are examined to make sure all entries adhere to their particular guidelines.
• Collections: evaluation and following up.
• Appeals - evaluate reductions requested by clients and decide whether reduction is appropriate or appeal the reduction as needed.
• Additional projects and responsibilities as allocated by the billing manager or firm management.
What You Need for this Position
• 2 years of e-billing experience
• 2 years of Legal Billing experience
• 1 year experience with Accounts Receivable (preferred)
• Prior experience with e-billing websites (e.g. Bottomline, TyMetrix 360, Quovant, Advocator, Counselink, Serengeti, Legal Bill Review, Collaborati)
