JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation management, human resources (HR) matters, and general corporate matters. This position requires a versatile legal professional who can manage a variety of legal issues and provide strategic advice to business units across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation Management
• Manage and oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes, including working with external counsel.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies to protect the company’s interests.
• Handle pre-litigation disputes and provide risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
HR Matters
• Provide legal advice and support on a variety of employment and labor law issues, including hiring, termination, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws.
• Draft and review employment contracts, employee handbooks, and HR policies.
• Assist in handling internal investigations and managing employee grievances.
General Legal Support
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.
• Provide support to General Counsel.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to various business units.
• Conduct legal research and keep abreast of relevant legal developments.
• Develop and deliver training sessions to employees on legal topics as needed.
• Assist with other legal matters and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements
Qualifications
• A minimum of 7-10 years of corporate legal experience. Could include a combination of corporate and law firm positions. Automotive industry (including electric vehicle) background a plus
• Strong litigation management skills and experience working with external counsel
• In-depth knowledge of employment and labor laws
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements
• Experience cultivating relationships with internal stakeholders, parent company legal leaders, and relevant external governing and regulatory agencies
• Juris doctorate (JD) degree and California Bar membership. Applicable advanced degree(s) a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
• Executive presence, confidence, and enthusiastic attitude
• Can-do mindset with high energy and strong work ethic
• Creative problem solver; not afraid to think outside the box
• Meticulous and thorough attention to detail
Pay Transparency
VinFast Auto is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. The pay range for this position is $140,000-$185,000.
