About the role:
Nova Systems seeks a Legal Counsel to provide expert legal advice and commercial guidance on significant matters, ensuring effective management of commercial risk while meeting business and operational needs.
Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, you will support the Group Legal & Commercial function based in Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviews and drafting of commercial contracts, including supply contracts, customer contracts, leases, and confidentiality agreements, to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and legal requirements.
Providing legal advice and related commercial guidance in respect of business tendering activities.
Supporting and, where appropriate, leading contractual negotiations.
Providing guidance to the business in respect of contract and legal compliance, risk identification and mitigation, dispute resolution, intellectual property, confidential information, and insurances.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Laws or equivalent with approximately two to four years post-admission experience.
Full working rights in Australia and hold (or be eligible to hold) an Australian Practicing Certificate.
Demonstrated ability to develop productive, trusting relationships with individuals from varying backgrounds and levels of seniority.
