The Role
A global FMCG brand is seeking an experienced commercial legal counsel for a 12-month maternity leave cover on a part-time basis (2 days per week).
You will report to the General Counsel and be responsible for drafting, negotiating and reviewing a broad range of commercial contracts.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and provide legal advice in relation to marketing review, intellectual property and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
Provide legal advice on a wide range of commercial matters, including corporate, commercial, intellectual property, marketing compliance, technology, and data privacy.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders to assist the client in achieving their strategic and commercial objectives.
Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends.
About You
A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 PQE.
You have previous experience working with a reputable law firm or in-house legal team.
Strong knowledge of Australian law and regulations.
Previous experience working for consumer brands and within the FMCG industry highly regarded.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
A proactive and positive attitude.
