Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for in-house legal matters including drafting agreements, and participating in negotiation discussions. In order to succeed, this candidate should feel comfortable working with in-house and outside counsels on a variety of legal matters.
Responsibilities
• Sound experience in general corporate matters.
• Proficient in drafting, negotiating and finalizing proposals, LOIs, term sheets, NDAs, procurement and other commercial agreement with various vendors and service providers, strategic partnerships/JV agreements with global players.
• Sound knowledge of copyright, trademarks, data privacy, consumer protection, payment regulations intermediaries, advertising and marketing laws/regulations.
• Experience of handling M&A matters would be an added advantage.
Qualifications
• Between 4-7 years of post-qualification experience, with relevant experience in M&A, general advisory and commercial contracts.
• Excellent academic credentials, including a law degree preferably from a Tier 1 law school.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent drafting and negotiating skills.
• Responsible, self-starter, capable of simultaneously handling multiple, multi-faceted projects and working under pressure.
• Ability to interface effectively and appropriately with individuals at all levels, both within and outside the company.
• Sound business, commercial and techno-legal acumen.
• Should be able to interpret and apply law and regulation in a practical, hands-on, matters with common sense.
• Should be able to manage and prioritize a wide variety of matters.
• Should be able to communicate clearly, concisely, effectively and persuasively with clients and all levels of business.
• Able and willing to work proactively, both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
