Job Description
*Role Overview**:
Will join a team of approximately 15 attorneys who provide off-shore legal support to Cloud Software Group’s globally dispersed Legal Department and the general business. Primarily responsible for supporting, leading and expanding legal support to the Purchasing function (Inbound Procurement), reviewing, negotiating and drafting enterprise-wide contracts for goods and services, including hardware, software, data, technology, equipment, telecommunications, facilities, outsourcing, professional services and consulting agreements.
• *Responsibilities**:
- The attorney will report to the Legal Manager, Purchasing, and is expected to assist with other business goals as directed by the Global Legal Services Director.
- Under the supervision of direction of the Legal Manager, will provide legal support in other practice areas, including proposed and enacted legislation, contractor responsibility, commercial matters, as required.
- Pro-actively advise appropriate parties of changes in the law, interpretations, and recent court rulings which may impact the practice areas and matters with which the counsel is involved.
- Work in coordination with the Compliance team in order to ensure adherence to internal policies and Due Diligence processes.
- Support other multidisciplinary projects within the legal team, including M&A transactions, technology testing and other initiatives driven by the Legal Operations function This position reports to the Global Legal Services Procurement Manager, based in Pune.
• *Qualifications**:
- The attorney is expected to exercise independent judgment and show a high degree of initiative and drive, offering assistance and identifying issues at the earliest possible stages.
- The attorney will often have to work under pressure and deadlines and needs to be able to prioritize projects and to be open to suggestions and ideas.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiating, drafting, and practice-management skills and business judgment.
- Ability to identify creative, business-oriented solutions to legal and business risks.
- Demonstrated ability to work on contract negotiations or other transactions of certain size and complexity
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, organizational, drafting and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team.
• *Education and Experience**:
- LLB or BSL LLB
- Minimum 4-6 years combined experience of Corporate Legal department work and working as an in-house counsel for global corporate.
- Familiarity with Google Suite
