Divisional Overview:Powai LCC broadly covers the areas of Legal, Compliance and Conduct, and is responsible for building a robust risk and control framework. The Powai LCC teams support Nomura Powai entities, as well as LCC teams globally to ensure effective risk management of Legal, Compliance and Conduct related risks for the firm. Powai Legal comprises of the Corporate Legal and Transaction Legal functions, which provide advice and support on corporate, employment and transactional matters. The Offshore Legal team supports global teams on corporate and secretarial matters, Global Markets, and Masters documentation related requirements. Powai Compliance comprises of functions such as Core Compliance, Trade Surveillance, Electronic Communication Surveillance, Financial Crime Monitoring, Control Room & Disclosure Monitoring and Employee Compliance. The teams provide advisory and operations support to global / regional Compliance teams driven by global / regional policies and regulatory expectations. Business Unit Overview: The legal department provides support both to the India businesses and globally as well. The support areas include, but are not limited to IT, HR, ESS and Facilities, litigation, Real Estate, Employment Law, Corporate Secretarial, bond issuances, syndicated lending mandates, margin financing transactions, M&A; advisory mandate, other Industry agreements and also drafts and negotiates prime brokerage and various commercial agreements.Position Specifications :Experience : 4-7 YearsQualification :LLB / LLMRole & Responsibilities – Transactions Legal: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating financial/derivative contracts and related documents of various jurisdictions including India, Asia, Japan, EMEA and US including prime brokerage agreement, master agreements (ISDA, GMRA, etc.), trade documents for debt/notes issuances, trade confirmations.Handling multiple negotiations simultaneously as well as responding to queries received in relation to agreements/ other legal matters.Liaising with various relevant business stakeholders and corporate divisions for their approval on risks / deviations.Being able to identify and highlight risks and liaising with and instructing law firms.Providing commercially savvy legal advice on a variety of matters basis the in-depth research and study of the applicable law provisions.Being abreast with the changing laws and regulations.Advising on the queries received from the business and legal teams related to agreements.Liaising with stakeholders, regional lawyers and business partners in various locations of the firm. Mandatory Skill Set :Qualified Law graduate with at least LLB degree.4-7 years of demonstrated experience in contracts drafting and negotiations.Excellent communication, drafting, negotiating skills, with a good understanding of financial/derivative contracts and related documents.Excellent analytical and legal skills, an eye for detail.Good team player.Maturity in dealing with senior stakeholders.Well organized in data and record management.Excellent analytical, skills and detail oriented.Excellent command over the English language and first-rate written and oral communication & presentation skills.Resourcefulness, solution oriented and good team player.Ability to manage multiple tasks as well as prioritize time management.Desired Skill Set :Knowledge and understanding of various Indian laws.Ability to identify issues and knowing when to escalate.Self-starter, with a sense of ownership towards the work and the company.Critical thinking, Conflict Management

LawSikho is looking for course anchors and teachers for their NCA exam course. This is a remote work opportunity.

DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DID NOT COMPLETE THE NCA COURSE OR THE NCA EXAMS.

Background :

You should be a law graduate (3 / 5 years) and should have cleared all your NCA exams within the last 1 to 2 years.

Experience - 3 to 5 years

Salary per month - 35000 INR

Location- Remote (Permanent WFH)

Work days- 5 days (Sunday working)

PLEASE NOTE : Our timings are from 12 noon till 10 pm. ( You will have to work for 8 hours everyday and it's mandatory that you are available from 8pm to 10pm to take the classes.)

• Perfect English is non negotiable
• You should have very good analytical skills and writing skills, you should be able to work with abstract situations and ideas
• For you work from home is important and preferably non-negotiable. We love people from small towns. We are open to people from other time zones.

You want to teach but find the environments of colleges and schools suffocating and can’t imagine working in such hierarchical places where your innovation and enthusiasm will be stifled.

What you will be doing :

1. Help students build effective strategies that will help them pass the exams, manage their learning outcomes, mentor them and encourage them.

2. Manage NPS of the course allocated to you
