Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our IEPF Assistance, Shares, and Dividend Claims department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a niche area of corporate and securities law. The intern will assist in reclaiming unclaimed shares, dividends, and other investments, while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks set by MCA and SEBI.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Documentation and Research:
Draft, review, and organize legal documents required for filing claims with IEPF.
Conduct research on MCA and SEBI regulations related to unclaimed shares and dividends.
IEPF Claims Assistance:
Assist in preparing and submitting applications for claims under the IEPF framework.
Verify and compile the required documentation from clients, such as proofs of identity, ownership, and other related records.
Compliance and Advisory:
Support the team in ensuring adherence to MCA and SEBI compliance requirements.
Provide advisory assistance to clients on reclaiming unclaimed dividends and shares.
Client Coordination:
Coordinate with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and provide status updates on claims.
Liaise with company registrars, transfer agents, and regulatory bodies as needed.
Database Management:
Maintain accurate records of cases and ensure timely updates in the internal systems.
Stakeholder Interaction:
Collaborate with team members to resolve complex cases and streamline the claim process.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
Strong knowledge of corporate laws, especially the Companies Act, 2013.
Familiarity with MCA portals, SEBI regulations, and the IEPF claim process is a plus.
Excellent legal research and drafting skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to handle client interactions effectively.
