We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Level 2 or Level 3 Daycare Educator to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play an integral role in shaping the learning experiences and social development of children in our care.

The Role:
As a Level 2/Level 3 Daycare Educator, you will be responsible for the care and development of children in your designated group. You will help create a stimulating, fun, and educational environment, ensuring that each child’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare & Supervision: Ensure a safe and caring environment for children, supervising their daily activities and interactions, both indoors and outdoors.
Curriculum Planning & Implementation: Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that foster learning, creativity, and growth. Follow the curriculum framework and adjust activities to suit the individual needs of children.
Observation & Documentation: Regularly observe and assess children’s progress, recording their developmental milestones and behaviors. Provide feedback and progress reports for families.
Communication with Families: Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child’s progress, activities, and well-being. Address any concerns or questions professionally.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other educators and staff members to create a cohesive and supportive team environment. Participate in regular meetings to discuss curriculum, child development, and center operations.
Health & Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are met, including following proper hygiene and cleanliness procedures. Be proactive in identifying potential hazards and addressing them immediately.
Behavior Management: Promote positive behavior by using gentle guidance and conflict resolution strategies. Support children in developing emotional regulation and social skills.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to further your knowledge and skills in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Education and Care qualification
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or the ability to obtain it).
Experience working in a childcare setting, with a demonstrated ability to support children’s development.
Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A passion for nurturing children’s growth and fostering their creativity and curiosity.
A current Working with Children Check and any relevant background clearances
Desirable Attributes:
Previous experience working in a Level 2 or Level 3 educator role.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A friendly, approachable demeanor and the ability to build positive relationships with both children and their families.
