Job/Responsibilities
In your role as Library Assistant in our Cowra Branch you will provide high quality customer service including:
Providing basic reader’s advisory and reference services
Assisting customers with IT applications and personal devices
Operating the Library Management System (LMS) to issue, return and reserve library items
Shelf tidying and shelving returned items
Participating in early literacy programs
Ensuring accurate cash handling and EFTPOS transactions
Skills/Experience
Previous library experience is desirable
Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, including the capacity to interact with all levels of staff and the community while maintaining effective customer service and relationship management
Digital literacy skills in the use of a variety of technology including applications and systems used within libraries
