Job Summary and Requirements
This posting is for a full time casual position working 75 hours biweekly. This position is located in Haines Junction, Yukon.

The opportunity…
The Liquor Store Clerk is responsible for serving the public in retail sales of liquor with excellent customer service. Liquor Store Clerks help team receive and handle stock, have product knowledge, merchandising skills and are able to operate a computerized point-of-sale (POS) system. They also provide surveillance skills for underage, intoxicated persons, and shoplifters, and assisting in janitorial duties.

Considerable experience working in a high-volume retail environment or licensed establishment providing customer service.
Experience with shipping, receiving, validating and/or stocking incoming inventory.
Experience balancing register cash, receipts, and float at the end of the shift.
Experience using a computerized point-of-sale (POS) system.
Experience operating manual and battery operated pallet jacks.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Additional information
Conditions Of Employment:
Wearing safety footwear,
Wearing a uniform provided by Yukon Liquor Corporation,
Successful completion of BARS course.
Job requirements:
Being able to stand or walk for longer periods of time,
Being able to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 50lbs),
Willingness and availability to work Monday to Saturday on a scheduled rotational basis.
