S&A is a law chamber, catering to civil commercial litigation, advisory, taxation (direct and indirect), Real Estate Litigation, etc., matters before the SC, DHC, Trial Courts, NCDRC, DRT, DRAT, TDSAT, various other Tribunals in NCR.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Associate at Shankar & Associates (Advocates | Solicitors) located in Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. As a Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for ongoing support to Seniors, Briefs on matters, Drafting, Research, appearances, filing, refiling, curing objections, client correspondences, to name a few. You will also have the opportunity to represent clients in court hearings and trials, and work closely with seniors to develop legal strategies for clients.
Looking for a self-starter motivated individual who wants to learn and thrive in the profession, who will be happy to take assigned tasks and matters to logical conclusion without being repeatedly asked.
Qualifications
• LLB Degree with enrolment in Bar Council and AIBE cleared.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience handling litigation matters, with a focus on aforesaid cases, with a firm/chamber
• Excellent drafting, research, writing, and oral communication skills in English and Hindi
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook at least
• Quick typing speed (min. 40-50 wpm)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong proficiency in legal research tools and databases (Manu, SCC Online)
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects effectively
• Proactive and self-starter
• Ability and agility to deal with long working hours which this profession requires
• Excellent time and task management capabilities
• Proximity to office and own conveyance will be an added advantage
