We are currently seeking a civil litigator with a minimum of two years of experience to join our team. This is a full-time position starting in May 2026 or later.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling a broad range of civil matters, including disputes involving real estate, business, collections, and other civil litigation issues. The ability to manage files independently while working collaboratively as part of a team is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in a range of civil litigation cases, including disputes related to real estate, business, construction, and estates.
2. Handle all aspects of litigation, including appearances in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Provincial Court and administrative tribunals for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
3. Offer strategic legal guidance and advice on complex dispute matters.
4. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, memoranda, and other materials required for court.
5. Perform in-depth legal research and case analysis to build effective litigation strategies.
6. Engage in negotiation efforts and seek resolution of disputes when appropriate.
7. Collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and external legal professionals to pursue optimal results.
8. Provide mentorship to junior lawyers and contribute to business development efforts.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of two years’ experience practicing civil litigation.
2. In good active standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
3. Proven experience managing litigation files.
4. Skilled in courtroom advocacy and legal drafting.
5. Strong research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
6. Ability to juggle multiple cases in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
7. Client-oriented mindset with a strong aptitude for negotiation and resolution.
8. Ability to work in teams and problem solve.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
