Job Description

We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our San Diego office is looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will assist attorneys with tenant-contested evictions and ensure the efficient and timely production of documents in the trial phase of the unlawful detainer process.

Compensation:

$28.00-$40.00 p/hour (DOE) + Benefits

Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research
Assist with legal motions and discovery
Support Attorneys with drafting letters and notices
Perform e-filing, paper filing, and additional administrative duties as needed by the department
Assist in client communication and document collection
Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

2+ years of litigation experience in a law firm as a legal assistant or equivalent legal support staff
Excellent writing skills with demonstrated experience in drafting legal documents
Professional communication skills via telephone and email
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute; versatile computer skills
The following qualifications are preferred:

Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience
Knowledge of unlawful detainers
Familiar with local county court rules and procedures
ProLaw experience
Schedule:

Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.

We currently offer a hybrid work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete the majority of their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.
