Employment Status: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2025
Days & Hours of Work: 38 Hours per week. Shift times will vary, in accordance with scheduled roster (Wednesday - Sunday)
Competitive Salary: 5A - Up to $119,148.62 pro rata (inclusive of penalty rates and 11.5% superannuation)
Location: Based at Corporate Centre in Sandringham.

About the Role:

This role will contribute to the safety and amenity of the municipality through the provision of information, assistance and advice to the community, and through the enforcement of relevant legislation. Emphasis on patrolling off leash parks and foreshore during summer restriction period.

You will be responsible for:

Investigating complaints
Undertaking inspections
Impounding animals
Issuing infringements
Preparing briefs of evidence.
Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

A Certificate IV level qualification in Statutory Compliance or Animal Welfare, or experience in a similar role is essential and knowledge of relevant legislation
High level time management skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders in a confident and professional manner
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in relation to Council's Local Laws
Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
Be willing to undertake a premedical assessment check.
Current Victorian Driver's licence.
