Job Description
Accounting and MIS:Accurate and timely closure of accounts and preparation of monthly financial statements of both the Trust and the FoundationPreparation of detailed analysis of P&L;, and Balance Sheet line items for reviewFixed Assets accounting and ensuring maintenance of FA records & controls relating to ownership and usageMonitoring the utilization of fixed assets, ensuring Fixed assets are purchased after justifying internal ROIEnsure all accounting practices are in adherence with applicable Accounting Standards, and Policies & Procedures of the organization.Continuously review internal control weaknesses and escalate in a timely manner for resolutionEnsure that an effective Delegation of Authority system is in place, ensure approvals happen and approvals happen as per the DOAMonthly preparation of various MIS reports including but not limited to variance analysis between Budget & Actuals Product wise margin reportsAssist in periodic reviews and in charge of Statutory, Internal and Systems auditAssist with all regulatory reporting, as applicable to Trusts and Section 8 companiesMust have experience in working with ERP systems. Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
Taxation :Lead the delivery of a full range of tax services (Direct, indirect taxes) in compliance with laws and regulations and in alignment to the businessRepresent and defend the tax position of the organization to tax regulating bodies during audits or reviewsEnsure the support to audits by statutory, internal and tax auditors and management of annual tax assessmentsHandle litigations and management of annual tax assessmentsLead the development and ongoing management of internal policies relating to taxation and implement these policies into existing accounting practices, and ensures corporate compliance with all applicable local & state, national & international tax obligations
Qualification:A Chartered Accountant, with about 3 to 5 years’ experience of having worked in medium/large sized manufacturing companies, in the areas of taxation and accounts closure
