Job Description
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Electrician who has Lisec / PLC automation and software experience to join our close knit team in Christchurch.
Working with our other maintenance engineers, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, resolving breakdowns and working closely with management on implementing new projects, installations and general maintenance.
You will get the opportunity to be involved in implementing new systems and ensuring there is an appropriate framework developed for training others that is relevant, effective and documented. Your commitment to health and safety is an absolute given!
We are very keen to hear from candidates with demonstrable skills / experience including:
Trade Qualified - Electrician (essential) and registered with the Electrican Workers Registration Board (EWRB)
Attended to planned maintenance work, break-down repairs and the installation of new and existing plant equipment in a manufacturing environment
Proven track record working in a high volume/high paced production environment
Knowledge of automation equipment, HMI and PLC's preferred
Experience with Lisec automated equipment or other glass industry processing plant and equipment
Proactive and self-motivated individual able to work autonomously when required and work within a group
Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills and able to communicate effectively to the wider plant
Knowledge of automated and industrial production machinery, HMI's
Excellent communicator and proven team building and team participation skills
Comfortable working with a CMMS system and Microsoft applications
This is a permanent, full time (min. 40 hours per week) role. You will work a rotating roster which changes fortnightly and work 8 hour shifts, currently Monday to Friday (6am - 2.30pm & 2pm - 10.30pm). Saturday work may be required from time to time, along with periodic weekend on call.
