Hardie Grant is an Australian-owned independent publishing and media business working with authors and clients to create high-quality books, magazines, websites and content across multiple platforms.
We are now seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position is responsible for working across multiple divisions to provide accurate, timely deliverables and advice within our Hardie Grant’s Media business.
Key Responsibilities of the position are to:
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Organise monthly cash flow forecasts
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements BAS/IAS
• Make ready annual budgets and forecasts
• Prepare daily bank reconciliations
• Work with our External Auditors to complete the annual audit
• Support AR and AP.
About you:
Our ideal candidate will have strong analytical, time management, organisational, and communication skills and a proactive and positive approach to solving problems independently. In addition, you will have:
• A Degree qualification in accounting/commerce (or similar)
• 2-3 years of relevant experience (Tax, Audit or Management Accountant)
• Working towards, or completed, CA or CPA accreditation
• Well-developed Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills; and
• Experience using Sage Intacct and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to other finance systems.
