Join Popeyes as a Management Accountant and play a key role in supporting our UK expansion by partnering with cross-functional teams to manage budgets, analyse financial performance, drive strategic decision-making, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across our fast-growing business
What you’ll be doing as a Management Accountant?
Management Reporting
Leading the preparation of monthly Management Accounts
Calculating and posting journals, including utilities, prepayments & accruals
Working closely alongside and mentor the Assistant Management Accountant
Preparing and posting royalty calculations
Review of monthly management accounts with Head of Finance and CFO; providing key commentary on movements and deep-diving into problem areas (company and site level)
Updating and reconciling monthly HQ divisional spend reports
Sending out monthly results to all our General Managers, liaising & diligently following up any queries they may have
Preparing periodic Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and following up actions with key stakeholders
Working closely with Banking/AP to ensure all costs and sales are appropriately accounted for
Preparing submission of information requests e.g. Office for National Statistics
Preparing, submitting and analysing VAT submissions
Work with our franchise partners to review and collate their P&Ls; investigating variances where necessary
Systems expert: keeping up-to-date with latest SAGE / AP software updates and ensuring we are utilising technology as efficiently as possible
Financial Reporting
Assisting with year end audit and answering audit queries, preparing key audit files
Assisting with implementation of strong control and process environment within the business
Reporting & Analysis
Assisting with budgeting & forecasting
Assisting with ad hoc analysis and projects

Technical requirements we’re looking for:
Qualified Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills (pivots, lookups, sumifs)
Fully literate with Microsoft Office 365
Multisite experience within hospitality or retail, desirable
