The Commercial Services provides first-class service and is run by industry professionals. We employ over 100 staff and work closely with other university faculties and departments to ensure that all events, eateries, catering, etc. represent the best value for students, staff and the public and reflect positively on the university brand. We also work with students giving them experience in commercial hospitality through internships, graduate programmes and as event volunteers. The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
The is a full time, permanent role within financial services division supporting the commercial services portfolio. As a management accountant, you will report to Head of Finance and working alongside a wider team.
In this role, you will partner closely with portfolio leaders to deliver accurate financial insights, support the operational planning cycle and ensure sound financial management practice. Your responsibilities will include month end processes, finical reporting and leading budgeting, forecasting activities as well as conducting performance analysis. You will provide expert financial advice to support strategic decision making. Strong relationship-building skills are essential as you will collaborate with a range of internal stake holders across the institution.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Excellent collaborative work style with a friendly and approachable manner
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Minimum 5 years’ experience in management accounting functions within large and complex organisation
Advanced computer literacy, strong analytical & problem-solving skills
CA(CAANZ)CPA(AUS) qualified
