Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing month-end close procedures, preparing complex journal entries, and performing account reconciliations to ensure complete and accurate financial records. This role involves system balancing, collaborating with divisional teams to resolve variances, analyzing changes in financial data, preparing financial reports, and serving as a subject matter expert during quarterly and annual audits.
Responsibilities
Prepare and record journal entries for one or more highly complex and visible subsidiaries, ensuring inclusion and quality.
Review and analyze financial statements and reports for complex and high-risk subsidiaries.
Perform complex account reconciliations that may involve sophisticated processes or contractual and accounting knowledge, impacting multi-million-dollar accounts.
Evaluate and analyze the impact of changes in accounts, reporting requirements, or business processes, and propose changes needed in accounting, reporting, or procedures for management review.
Prepare reports requiring advanced accounting understanding and analysis with high visibility and impact.
Identify and implement process improvements, including documenting processes and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
3+ years of financial and accounting experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
Must have experience with Oracle General Ledger accounting system.
Advanced Excel skills required.
