I'm working with a growing property investment and asset management business on a rare opportunity: to bring finance in-house for a major commercial site in the West Midlands. You'll be the go-to finance professional on the ground - working directly with entrepreneurial founders and investors to build the finance function from scratch and drive commercial insight.
With all finance currently outsourced, you'll have the autonomy to design and implement processes, manage financial reporting, and bring clarity and control to service charge and operational costs. You'll also play a hands-on role in budgeting, forecasting, and producing investor reporting packs.
Key responsibilities:
• Own day-to-day finance operations for the asset, including P&L, cashflow, budgeting and forecasting
• Manage service charge accounting and liaise with managing agents
• Produce investor reporting packs and support strategic decision-making
• Work closely with asset managers, external accountants, and onsite teams
• Implement controls and processes to bring finance fully in-house
You'll need:
• A background in commercial property finance, ideally with shopping centre or service charge experience
• Strong management accounting skills and commercial acumen
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing external partners
• A self-starter mindset - comfortable working autonomously and shaping your own role
• Either newly qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), nearly qualified, or qualified by experience
