We are recruiting for a Management Accountant to cover maternity leave to join the finance team based at our offices in Manchester. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the finance team. The main function of this role is to provide accurate and timely management accounts.
MAIN ACTIVITIES/TASKS:
• Responsible for the delivery of a complete management accounting service in accordance with the company timetables
• Review of current systems and processes to bring efficiencies to the team
• Prepare and own the balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure all revenue and expenditure are correctly accounted for in both the management and financial accounts
• Effective tracking of KPIs
• Support the Financial Controller in the preparation of the year-end statutory accounts with full compliance with FRS102, annual audit and tax information
• Provide reliable, accurate financial information to key internal users
• VAT returns, IOSS sales reporting and USA Sales Tax registration & reporting
• Inventory movement, write-offs and revaluations are properly controlled and stock reconciliations are completed monthly
• National statistics surveys
• Other ad hoc duties
REQUIREMENTS
• Part qualified (ACCA or CIMA) or QBE
• Proven experience of working in a retail management accounts function
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work under pressure
• Be well organised, analytical and confident in relaying financial information
• Be eager to grow along with the finance function
• Have good management and leadership skills
• Be a committed team player who can work effectively, to tight deadlines
