About our role:
Our Business Finance Team are seeking a qualified or part qualified Management Accountant. We are seeking someone to join our high-performing management accounting team, providing helpful and valued financial support to Avant’s business units, including business planning and budgeting, results reporting and expense management. This will be a full-time, 6-month contract role with potential to extend further. This role is based in our Darling Park, Sydney CBD offices.
The key responsibilities include:
Assist in preparation of the monthly flash and group results.
Prepare the consolidated monthly reporting pack which is tabled at the monthly Executive Leadership meeting.
Assist in compiling P&Ls for Legal Entity reporting purposes.
Preparation of key month end journals.
Provide support to the rest of the team during the month-end close process.
Group allocations.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, studying towards your CPA or CA.
Have had previous experience working within a Financial Control team and understanding of statutory and legal entity reporting.
Financial accounting and reporting acumen.
Ability to use and develop system tools to automate reporting (such as TM1).
Insurance industry knowledge.
Strong analytical and modelling skills.
