Job Description
Vice Media seeks a motivated, manager to join our team. This position will manage the Global Accounting Shared Service team and involve a mix of month-end close functions and accounting support.
The Person
Education
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or other business related field required.
Qualifications
• 5-7 years of professional experience
• Public / Private accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting required
• Experience communicating accounting issues and determinations to senior level managers
• Strong excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Ability to learn quickly and apply accounting guidance to new and varied types of transactions
• Knowledge of Netsuite a plus
Job Duties
• Lead a team of 4 direct reports in the following activities:
• Creation of internal project codes
• Intercompany reconciliations / matching
• Intercompany billbacks / recharges
• Salary allocations (Global recharges)
• Freelancer Payroll upload / tie out
• Financial statement preparation
• Tax support preparation
• Audit support including pulling samples
• Consolidation support
• Ad Hoc projects / LOB reporting as needed by the business
• LOB support as needed
