Penchansky & Co. is a small public accounting firm in Manchester, NH. Founded in 1988 by David Penchansky, the firm has grown in size, quality, and scope of work over the years. Our clientele range from basic not-for-profit engagements to complex multi-jurisdictional organizations and everything in between.
We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join the Audit & Assurance side of the practice. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting audits, reviews, and comps and the processes and procedures in each. This role requires a strong understanding of various accounting principles and regulations, as well as the ability to lead a team effectively. The right person will be eligible for equity/ownership on a substantially accelerated track.
Responsibilities
Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements, manage client relationships, and help drive quality and innovation across our audit & assurance practice
Collaborate and supervise with Audit & Assurance staff to deliver impactful work
Develop and implement audit plans, ensure timely and accurate completion
Run engagements from planning to completion
Experience
This leadership opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong public accounting background who thrives in a collaborative, high-performing environment
Bachelors of Science in Accountancy or Related Field
CPA Licensure (active)
5+ years of public accounting experience with 2+ in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong command of US GAAP and risk-based auditing principles
Fundamental understanding of income taxation
Experience with Thomson Reuters software a plus
