Manager- Cost & Management Accountant

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant Manager to oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and cost control across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in improving cost efficiency, supporting strategic decision-making, and strengthening financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Costing & Analysis
- Prepare and maintain accurate product costing, including BOM, labor, and overhead allocation - Analyze standard cost vs actual cost and report variances with reasons. - Monitor Material Consumption, wastage, and yield against norms. - Support monthly cost closing and MIS reporting.
Inventory & Manufacturing Finance
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation with financial records - Monitor WIP, finished goods, and raw material costs - Partner with production and supply chain teams to ensure cost efficiency and control - Review and validate manufacturing overhead absorption
Financial Reporting & Controls
- Support monthly closing activities, including cost provisions and journal entries - Prepare cost reports, MIS dashboards, and margin analysis - Strengthen internal controls related to costing and inventory - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and product teams on cost optimization initiatives - Provide insights to leadership on cost trends, profitability, and efficiency improvements
Required Qualifications
- CMA qualification (Preferred) - 5–10 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing is mandatory.
Solid knowledge of:
- Standard costing and variance analysis - Inventory accounting - Manufacturing finance - Experience working with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / NetSuite preferred) - Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consumer products, D2C, or product-based manufacturing - Exposure to cost optimization and process improvement initiatives - Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
