About the role
Morrison is the Asset Manager for Infratil. There is a dedicated team within Morrison to oversee the management functions, including Financial Reporting. As an Infratil Corporate Accountant, you will play a key role in Infratil’s management accounting and financial reporting processes. Reporting to the Infratil Financial Controller, the role spans group consolidation, statutory and management reporting, tax compliance, ESG reporting, and ongoing systems and process improvement.
What to expect
Financial & Management Reporting
Prepare month-end journals, reconciliations and trial balances for Infratil’s corporate entities
Process trial balances from subsidiaries and associates and prepare group consolidation entries
Support monthly management and Board reporting for the Group
Assist with half-year and annual statutory accounts, including Annual and Interim Reports
Prepare the corporate entities’ financial statements, disclosures and resolutions ahead of reporting deadlines
Support budgeting processes for corporate entities
Drive ongoing optimisation of reporting processes enabled by NetSuite
Tax & Compliance
Prepare GST, PAYE and WHT returns for corporate entities
Assist with draft income tax returns
Prepare quarterly Statistics NZ reporting
ESG, Risk & Other
Prepare monthly Health & Safety reporting
Prepare GHG emissions reporting (business travel and financed emissions) and support wider ESG reporting
Maintain and improve internal controls and process documentation
Work closely with the Financial Controller, Finance Manager and wider finance team on corporate accounting matters for an NZX and ASX listed company
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
Recently qualified Chartered Accountant (CAANZ or equivalent) with ~4+ years’ experience post tertiary study
A strong grounding in IFRS, consolidation and group accounting principles
Introductory financial modelling capability including the ability to use excel skills for Group Reporting and analysis
A genuine interest in capital markets and listed company environments
Curiosity about systems and processes, and a desire to improve how things are done
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse stakeholder group
