Primary objective
Provide comprehensive executive business support to the Director of the Rural Generalist Coordination Unit (RGCU). Develop and deliver
workforce initiatives and projects designed to drive and achieve the objectives of the NT Rural Generalist Program (NTRGP) whilst
managing the operational requirements of the branch and contributing to strategic planning.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Aligned with the National Rural Health Strategy and NT Health strategy, policies and procedures, contribute to the management and
implementation of the NTRGP.
2. Manage consultation and engagement processes for internal and external stakeholders including NT Health, State and Commonwealth
Government agencies, community health services and education providers.
3. Drive the delivery of program activities prescribed by Commonwealth grants including governance, data collection and analysis, case
management, policy development, workforce planning, collaboration and communication.
4. Manage Commonwealth funded programs, including the associated communication, budget and reporting requirements.
5. Prepare complex briefings, executive correspondence and other written material to a high standard.
6. Undertake project planning and risk management activities to support the achievement of RGCU branch priorities, with a particular
focus on continuous improvement, effective communication, engagement and delivery of the NTRGP.
7. Contribute to innovative strategic planning in health workforce reform activities that have Territory wide implications.
8. Lead and manage a team, monitoring operational pressures, team capacity and adjust resources, workloads and priorities to achieve
