We are inviting applications for the role of Manager, Finance Controller
Responsibilities
Explain business RA calculation and project setup. Comparison between CO module (GR55 YP05) and FI (ZEP1 or ZEP0 E-hierarchy) / Explanation PIT or OT principle
Support audit process from Business point of view for all request related to RA. Explanation of Result Analysis calculation at one point in time and the logic behind WIP/ECA/PC/DC
Support finance team during closing to explain all kind of gap or changes vs estimation. Investigate about the financial figures at project/GPID level for FP&A team by looking any MJE or late entry responsible of the gap
Resolve all kind of FI to CO disconnect in SAP. Track result analysis issue (settlement or calculation) or MJE posted
Generate, Upgrade, and distribute several reports to validate balance sheet accuracy. Investigation of dormant project (without BS or with BS but no posting since 2Y for example) or validation of WIP/ECA vs Internal PC/DC (reconciliation partner vs passthrough) or explanation of Balance sheet position related to project (warranty provision …)
Perform monthly Balance sheet review on Project KPIs to determine action to take on Balance sheet side. Participation of BSR and support regional controller on investigation & challenge them
Fix the Alert report related issues. Track all the potential project with issues (high Balance sheet for project over) to avoid any risks on BS & P&L position (Check RA / Billing/ Cost / Collaboration with PC & LPC)
Support project controllership team traducing guidance & rules in technical process in SAP
Track & Reduce MJE on Balance sheet side. Review all the MJE Balance sheet via KEOPS or directly into the ERP and challenge the posting to ensure the accuracy them.
Perform regular analysis on large project to identify issues & misalignment with 606 policy. Perform minimum two analysis of large projects by quarter to ensure the accuracy of the P&L/BS position and highlight the potential risks (FX template / Reconciliation Partner vs Passthrough / split True cost vs Markup)
Perform MJE & Correction through CO module to realign project with 606 rev rec policy. By participating to the BSR, identify the MJE which can be correct directly in CO on project to avoid those (Forecast alignment / Actual cost or billing to be book by proper teams …)
Global PC DC report - Perform report via KEOPS to support global leaders during the monthly close
Reconciliation FI CO PS Progress Collection / Def Charges. Create a report via KEOPS and FI which compared both and highlight the gap between the two views
Participate big deal reviews and PMR’s. Quarterly review of the biggest project to understand the impact of the changes at termination and crosscheck the financial impact (fluctuation on BS and P&L) at the end of the quarter.
Support Audit and SOX requests related to project accounting. Follow and support all the request regarding result analysis, accounting rules and financial explanation (ZEP0 split) for all Projects (External Sales / Levelisation / COGS)
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
Graduate or Post Graduate in Finance or equivalent with a strong academic record
Good amount of relevant work experience
Preferred qualifications
Experience with R2R process and exposure to project accounting, Financial forecasting, budgeting, planning and alent with a strong academic record
analysis
Attention to detail and the ability to analyze data patterns.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Proactively engages with multiple teams to resolve issues.
Maintains excitement for a process and drives to new directions of meeting the goal even when odds and setbacks render one path impassable.
Innovates and integrates new processes and/or technology to significantly add value.
