About The Team & Business Line
Citco Group provides services to our Citco Group of Companies and helps business to succeed in client service excellence.
The GL Manager will lead a team of 4-6 Accountants & Supervisors providing primary support to the assigned entities in completing the daily tasks and also for completing all the close activities during monthly, quarterly & yearly book close. This candidate will support Six to Ten entities from US, Canada or Europe and work closely with the local Manager & onshore controller(s) to ensure accurate and on time book close. Pune team supports offshore entities in all the accounting activities like Intercompany accounting, Bank & balance sheet reconciliations, Accruals, tax calculations, etc.
Your Role
• Lead a team of around 4-6 Accountants & supervisors supporting multiple entities across US, Canada and/or Europe
• Ensure timely completion of deliverables as per SLA and on time book close, Intercompany accounting, variance analysis, month end commentary, Cash flow forecast, etc
• Ensure compliance with applicable Citco policies and procedures;
• Review Balance sheet reconciliations to ensure compliance with Standard accounting practices & Citco Policies
• Work with the onsite controllers to ensure accurate accounting & compliance with legal requirements
• Identify & implement process improvement initiatives
• Support internal/external audit requests
• Arrange training, provide guidance/support, and prepare/conduct effective performance appraisals for employees;
• Liaise and collaborate with various other Citco departments such as Accounts payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A
• Maintain & generate standard monthly dashboards around KPI’s
About You
• Bachelor level degree, preferably in accounting, finance
• Professional Accounting degree CA, CWA, CPA, ACCA, etc
• 7-+ years of experience in financial accounting, preferably from a MNC, captive shared service center, Multi location organization
• 1-2 Years of leading a small team of finance professionals;
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook;
• Knowledge of Oracle will be preferable
