The opportunity
An exciting opportunity to join the Group Compliance team. We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join QBE as a Manager, Monitoring, Group Compliance, where you will provide assurance and support in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the evolution of compliance practices across a broad range of corporate functions, using data, technology, and agile methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Your new role
Lead deep dive compliance reviews and provide strategic recommendations based on findings
Design and implement a rapid review methodology using agile practices (sprints, stand-ups, retros)
Lead reviews of records in the Risk Management System, including the management of risks and controls self-assessments, and issues and incidents
Identify and implement opportunities to uplift oversight through automation and live dashboards
Lead creation and adoption of real-time data dashboards to support decision-making
Drive automation of manual compliance tasks to improve operational efficiency
Conduct periodic AI-enhanced reviews of personal data and staff expenses to ensure policy compliance
About you
Prior experience working in compliance, risk management, or audit functions.
Exposure to regulatory environments—experience within insurance or financial services is a plus
Strong analytical skills and a passion for process improvement and innovation
Familiarity with agile practices and data visualisation and automation tools (e.g., Power BI)
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence change in a large matrix organisation
Experience using AI or automation tools (e.g., Power Automate)
