Job Description
The Manager of Document and Data Processing will oversee a team of skilled programmers and composition specialists responsible for transforming customer data into high-quality, compliant transactional documents. This role emphasizes workflow management, process adherence, and operational excellence in a mature, well-defined production framework. The manager will ensure that all projects are executed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and security.
Key Responsibilities
· Team Leadership & Oversight
· Manage and mentor a team of document composition programmers and production specialists.
· Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and professional development.
· Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
· Workflow & Production Management
· Oversee daily operations within a defined document processing framework.
· Assign and prioritize workloads to meet client SLAs and internal deadlines.
· Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compliance requirements.
· Quality Assurance & Compliance
· Implement rigorous quality control processes to minimize errors and rework.
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, HITRUST, NIST 800-53).
· Partner with compliance and IT teams to safeguard sensitive customer data.
· Process & Continuous Improvement
· Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
· Monitor production KPIs and generate reports for senior leadership.
· Client & Stakeholder Communication
· Act as a point of escalation for internal and external stakeholders.
· Collaborate with account management, IT, and operations teams to resolve issues quickly.
· Support client onboarding by aligning document composition needs with production capabilities.
Qualifications
· Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
· 5+ years of experience in document composition, print/mail production, or transactional communications.
· 2+ years in a supervisory or management role overseeing technical or production teams.
· Technical Skills
· Familiarity with document composition tools (e.g., Quadient Inspire, OpenText Exstream, GMC, or equivalent).
· Working knowledge of data file formats (e.g., XML, CSV, JSON) and workflow automation.
· Strong understanding of compliance-driven environments.
· Leadership Competencies
· Proven ability to manage a team in a structured, process-driven environment.
· Excellent problem-solving and escalation management skills.
· Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
