Role: Manager / Senior Accountant (Chartered Practice)
Location: Savoy House, West London (W3)
Team: Lead a "pod" of 5–6 chartered accountants—part‑ and fully‑qualified staff, trainees, and colleagues in Sri Lanka.
The ideal candidate: We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of dealing with a portfolio of family run business. This role is ideal for a person who is looking to hit the ground running by assisting the current management team in meeting deadlines and providing advice. We have a strong flow of juniors and part-qualified team members so are looking for someone who is ready to lead.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage preparation and submission of 15+ statutory annual accounts & CT600s per month, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction.
• Oversee 10+ VAT returns monthly.
• Lead preparation of management accounts for ~5 clients.
• Supervise personal tax (SA100) filings and monitor related billing.
• Track team’s WIP and turnaround across deliverables.
• Conduct bi‑annual appraisals and support professional development.
• Foster an environment of technical excellence, collaboration, and proactive client communication.
What You’ll Bring
• Qualified or QBE Chartered Accountant with 5+ years’ experience in a UK professional firm.
• Solid leadership and team‑management experience.
• Strong client liaison and communication skills—an excellent listener and advisor.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines, workflow, and keep a sharp eye on detail.
• Confident working independently, with the drive to improve processes and mentor team members.
