Designation: Manager, Strategy and Special Projects (Founders Office Role)
Experience: 5-7 years (prior experience in healthcare compulsory)
Degree: MBA (Tier 1/2 colleges) / MHA from premier institutes like TISS (compulsory)
Location: New Delhi (Corporate Office)
Ujala Cygnus Healthcare is a General Atlantic backed company that runs 23 hospitals across 5 states of North India focusing on Tier 2 and 3 cities where healthcare is underserved. As the only successful player in the said markets, Ujala Cygnus has created a brand built on the pillars of affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare, accumulating various awards in this respect.
Currently, the group is looking to hire a candidate who will work closely with the senior management team (CxOs) as well as the Private Equity operations team on various projects including strategy initiatives, M&A, growth, business development / partnerships & digitalization of the chain. The group has raised funding recently and has an ambitious plan to grow significantly across geographies. The key roles and responsibilities will include:
· Liaising with investment bankers for new hospital acquisition opportunities including due-diligence of the asset, site-visits, planning, financial modelling, commercial negotiations, and operationalization of the assets.
· Developing new business verticals including IVF and Oncology for the group: planning, conceptualizing, financial assessment, financial modelling, speaking to industry experts, liaising with doctors for recruitment as partners and execution of the entire department for go-live.
· Being part of the core team for digitalization of the group: implementation of new HIS (with all modules for 100% digitalization) for the group across 22 hospitals along with support of IT team, HIS team and PMO Consultant.
· Working along with strategy consultants to implement various operational efficiency and market mapping exercises for the group.
· Developing presentations, financial models, MIS, and data analysis on various topics including overall P&L, departmental profitability, return on investment analysis, operational metrics analysis, clinical parameters etc. and discussing the same with senior management and PE fund representatives.
· Business development and liaising with various ancillary service providers including med-tech players, AI-platforms, CSR funds etc. to develop key partnerships for the group.
· Being part of all budgeting exercises, strategy workshops, brainstorming sessions to chart future path for the group.
We are seeking young, proactive, hard-working, and passionate candidates who want to make a difference in the field of healthcare delivery and work alongside some of the top professionals in the sector. Prior experience in healthcare strategy consulting, investment banking, hospital management, healthcare M&A preferred but not mandatory.
