Ashfield District Council have a great opportunity for a Market Assistant to join us in Sutton In Ashfield. You will join us on a part time, fixed term contract for 12 months, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £5,081 - £5,166 per annum for 8 hours per week (pay award pending).
We need someone to work part time at the outdoor markets in Ashfield.
You will join a team of Market Assistants who erect and dismantle market stalls, dispose of refuse and liaise with market traders and the public.
You must be capable of handling heavy equipment, be prepared to work outdoors and be able to deal with people calmly and tactfully.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
The work involves split shifts mainly Mondays and Fridays but some Saturdays; starting as early as 5.00 or 6.00 a.m. and finishing at about 6.00 p.m.
However, we offer up to 35 days annual leave (pro rata).
