Job Description
You will not be writing final copy. You will create the inputs that make writing fast: competitor breakdowns, avatar pain hierarchy, hook libraries, objections, offers, and credible study summaries for ingredients. Must be able to hit deadlines and produce clean, copywriter-ready docs.
What you’ll deliver
For each new product/topic, you’ll produce a Research Pack that includes:
1) Market research and competitor funnel swipe
Competitor product sales pages (VSLs, long-form text pages, ecom pages)
Offer breakdowns: price, bundles, guarantees, bonuses, checkout flow
Key messages: mechanisms, big promises, symptom focus, proof types
VSL transcription (or cleaned auto-transcription) with timestamps + highlights
2) Competitor ad research and transcription
Meta competitor ads captured into a spreadsheet (hook, angle, claim type, format, CTA, landing page, notes) using the Meta Ad Library workflow
YouTube/Google ads competitor research via the Google Ads Transparency Center when applicable
Ads transcribed (cleaned) and tagged by hook type + mechanism
3) Avatar research (pain stack + buying intent)
Identify the #1 most painful symptom and #2/#3 + secondary symptoms
When a prospect buys a competitor in this niche: which symptom are they most focused on fixing?
Common triggers, frustrations, “I’ve tried everything” moments
Objections and skepticism themes (why people don’t believe solutions work)
4) Customer research ops (when available)
Draft and set up customer surveys (questions that generate usable copy insights)
Coordinate customer interviews if possible (scheduling + basic scripting + notes)
5) Scientific research for marketing proof points
For each ingredient in a formula, find credible studies and summarize in a standard format:
Title + link
Credibility (university/institution/journal)
Full abstract
Specific results worth mentioning (numbers, outcomes, effect sizes)
Notes on visuals (graphs/pictures) and how to use them in marketing
Simple explanation: “what this means in normal language”
What we’re looking for
Must-have
Strong web research skills + source evaluation (can tell “real science” from fluff)
Excellent organization in Google Docs/Sheets
Ability to synthesize (turn 30 tabs into a 1-page brief + clean appendix)
Comfortable with direct response marketing concepts (hooks, angles, offers, objections)
Clear writing (research summaries should be easy to read and copywriter-friendly)
Nice-to-have
Scientific background (bio, nutrition, physiology, pre-med, public health, etc.)
Experience in supplements / DTC health marketing
Familiarity with PubMed / Google Scholar / clinical trials databases
Experience building “swipe files” and ad libraries
Tools you’ll use
Google Docs/Sheets, basic screen recording, transcription tools, and public ad libraries (Meta Ad Library, Google Ads Transparency Center).
How to apply
Send:
A short note on your background
1–2 examples of research outputs (anything that shows structure + synthesis)
(Optional) A brief “mini research pack” sample (we can provide a prompt)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
Work Location: Remote
