Who You Are
You’re a visual creator first — you think in layouts, colour, and composition
You’re proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or equivalent tools like Canva Pro
You can shoot and edit short-form video content for social media and web
You’re a self-starter who can take high-level direction and manage your own priorities without day-to-day supervision
You’re detail-oriented — broken links, outdated content, and inconsistent formatting bother you
You can write clean, professional copy for blogs, product descriptions, and marketing materials
You’re comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment
You have a genuine interest in Apple products and technology
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the President, you will:
Content Creation & Design
Design and produce marketing assets: in-store signage, print collateral, sales literature, web graphics, and email templates
Create, edit, and publish social media content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms, managing the content calendar
Shoot and edit product photos and short-form video for social, web, and e-commerce listings
Build and send e-newsletters and promotional emails using Omnisend or similar platforms
Create and manage paid ad creative and campaigns (Google, Meta, LinkedIn), tracking basic performance metrics
Develop Apple client-facing marketing materials for Simply Computing Express store locations, including co-branded collateral, promotional displays, and launch materials
Website Maintenance
Regularly audit the website for broken links, outdated content, and errors — and fix them
Update website content including blog posts, product information, policies, and service descriptions
Write and publish blog content on a regular schedule
Ensure website content is consistent with current branding, pricing, and promotions across all store locations
Brand & Operations Support
Maintain brand consistency across all channels, following established brand guidelines
Support Shopify product listings with images, descriptions, and promotional content
Assist with event marketing materials and product launch collateral on tight timelines
Help maintain the Careers page and create recruitment marketing content as needed
Qualifications
Required:
Diploma or degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or related field
Strong portfolio demonstrating print and digital design work
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or Canva Pro
Video shooting and editing skills (Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar)
Experience managing social media content and scheduling for a brand or business
Comfortable updating website content via WordPress or Shopify CMS
Solid copywriting skills — you can write a blog post, product description, or email that reads well
Excellent eye for detail, typography, and layout
Nice to Have:
Experience with Shopify or e-commerce platforms
Familiarity with email marketing tools (Omnisend, Mailchimp, etc.)
Basic experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, or LinkedIn Campaign Manager
Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email templates and minor website edits
Photography skills (product and lifestyle)
Experience in Apple retail or consumer electronics
Familiarity with Google Analytics or basic marketing reporting
Working Conditions
Based at Simply Computing’s Vancouver head office (1690 West Broadway)
Standard business hours with occasional evenings or weekends for product launches and events
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per annum, depending on experience and portfolio strength
