Job Description
The Marketing Manager is responsible for executing tactical marketing initiatives to support the overall marketing strategy driving the Omni San Diego Hotel awareness and revenue. This role will collaborate closely with all the San Diego operational teams and 3rd party agency partners.
Responsibilities
Establish marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of products and/or services.
Develop and execute marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure profit growth and expansion of company products and/or services.
Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing with integrated marketing plans and initiative marketing calendar.
Manage media strategy, schedule, and execution.
Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Omni Corporate Director of Marketing to strategize and execute retargeting, social and programmatic advertising and SEO.
Develop, maintain and execute +0-day email marketing calendar. Plan, write, execute and track email marketing campaigns.
Monitor, measure, and analyze campaign performance metrics, online activity data, and market research findings on a regular basis with the ability to immediately identify and react to changes.
Conduct regular audits of website content and images to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
Work with Director of Revenue Management and Director of Sales & Marketing to develop timely packages that support business needs and drive revenue.
Work with department heads on an ongoing basis to strategize according to individual business needs, establish goals, and execute tactics to meet goals.
Brainstorm and support promotions on all relevant social media platforms in conjunction with the Social Media PR company.
Review, edit and proof all marketing collateral in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Conduct regular tracking and reporting of all programs in conjunction with the Omni Corporate Marketing Director.
Manage marketing budget to ensure accuracy of spend and forecasting.
Research and stay well-informed of emerging trends in marketing, competitor trends, and offerings.
Monitor and ensure internal and external communication is updated, leveraged, and represents the brand.
Attend weekly rev-merch meeting in order to collaborate and strategize revenue driving initiatives.
Oversee all online profiles.
Oversee and assist with monthly report preparation.
Conduct monthly marketing meeting with joint partners.
Evaluate market reactions to advertising programs, merchandising policy, and product packaging and formulation to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
Maintain effective relationships with all associates throughout the resort in creating a strong, supportive, and objective environment.
Be able to analyze and resolve problems while exercising good judgment and in the best interest of the Hotel.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years progressive professional experience in traditional and digital marketing highly preferred.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in hotel or hospitality marketing with responsibility level over marketing, digital and communications highly preferred.
Degree in communication or marketing, or similar.
Strong understanding of social media trends and management, as well as content gathering.
Experience in creative development and robust organizational skills with a strong capacity to think outside the box.
Experience managing social media content creation, graphic design, public relations, marketing planning and execution.
Proven track record of executing marketing campaigns that yield positive results.
